A Dress To Impress

There has been a big move the last few years towards dress down dress up dresses (wow that was a mouthful!). You know the dress type I mean- wear it with crisp white trainers and a denim or leather jacket during the day and then dress it up with heels for an evening or wedding.
These dresses are one of the staples of every wardrobe and a great starting point to build a capsule wardrobe around.

Perfect for a Summer Country Wedding- team this with a wedge espadrille (those gorgeous ones that tie around your leg- I’d recommend Dida Ritchie ones (or if on a budget M&S have been known to do some fab ones too at around £30!). A cream suit jacket or pashmina and fascinator will finish off the look. Team with a pair of the Big Metal Allure Earrings and a clean French manicure for absolute Summer Wedding perfection.
Equally this dress can be dressed down. I love the idea of a pair of fresh white Superga plimsolls, a denim jacket and some hoops for an easy casual day look. The Big Metal Valerie Hoops (in gold or silver depending on your favourite metal) would be perfect

As soon as I saw this dress I knew I had to have it in for Bea & Aud Lifestyle. It lends itself so easily for day wear and I have the perfect paid of Veja trainers to wear with this. I think the Eleanor Jacket would be a great layering piece over this for the chilly British Summer and picking out the green from the pattern I would add the Petra small matte resin green hoops.
Alternatively when I head to Spain this summer I have the perfect pair of chunky wooden clog sandals that would make this dress an easy casual evening meal look. Get similar summer shoes from Marks & Spencer (Leather Buckle Platform Clogs | M&S Collection | M&S (marksandspencer.com)) and add a fine delicate gold chain or 2 from my Lisa Angel selection.

A wrap dress is a staple in every wardrobe and has been since Diane Von Furstenberg introduced them back in 1974. For those of us that are busty it means a dress that actually fits properly as you can easily adjust it.
